Potts Newsletter January 1-15 2010

FAMILY
We slept in after spending New Years Eve at the Eve celebration downtown. The football game came next. Tews joined Dan, Doug and Mike for the Rosebowl.  The florida game came later.

Tiarra's baptism was on the 3rd.  Mike baptised and confirmed her.  Lunch was at our house afterward.  There was pizza, salad and brownies.  Later Trisha and Darrin treated us to dinner at the Noodles company because Trisha's business card was drawn.

Trisha and Cindy Came to dinner on the third.

I was talking to a friend one day about her daughters. She said there was a lot of bad feelings and back biting.  As I took stock of our daugthers I felt such a feeling of gratitude.  They are supportive to each other and best friends. I feel so very blessed.

7- On Kalli's birthday we met at the temple at 5:45.  There was Kalli, Cindy, Trisha, Dan and I.  It was a marvelous experience to be there and have Dan perform the baptisms for us.  Afterwards we came to our house for ice cream and a party.  Mariyah, a guitar student who has similar intersts and age, came too.

PATRICIA
I enjoyed Bro. Welches testimony when he talked about the angels singing with the choir. It also meant a lot to me when Dylan Short talked about how much he loved singing the songs in primary.  Trisha taught me power point so I could use it with the primary.
I was so thankful that after a prayer with my friend Margaret I was able to find the temple cards so we could go to the temple with Kalli to do the work for her great, great, great grandma.
Margaret and I worked and prepared then did a presentation about "Being out best self" at Kalli's school on her birthday.  It was fun.
I enjoyed visiting Jackie Hadlock, a neighbor.
5- I had "one of those days" when the iron broke, the computer broke, the printer broke and the frig broke!  Our computer had to go to the "hospital" for a few days.  At least we had saved up the money to pay for things like that.  Margaret suggested PC laptops.
